FALL Photo Dump

We started off a beautiful fall with a drive up the canyon! It was amazing!

Us girls did a little shopping with this little cutie!

We had the fam over for a little fall fire! It was so cozy out there.

Tay and Kyle invited us to come to the Hickman cabin for a weekend in October. Max and Tilly loved the squishy car ride together! All of us squished in our trailer to sleep. It was so nice to relax in nature. The views were beautiful!

We had the best little girls weekend in Park City in October. I sure do love these sweet friends of mine!

Dan and I enjoyed lots of yummy food since we got the Grub Club passport. It lets us get deals at lots of different food and dessert places each month!

We had a fun night at the pumpkin patch and then carved pumpkins with the fam. Dan carved the tiniest face into his. I wish I had gotten a picture!

My annual cat costume for school haha!

We had our annual Silva Halloween party. It was really fun! Lots of good friends showed up. Dan handmade my Mother Earth costume. He was Tyrone Biggums.

More fun girls days with Dawsy boy!

We spent hours shopping, trying to find Dan an outfit for Sarah's wedding. He wanted to wear this velvet jacket with plaid pants, but Sarah didn't love it lol.

Kai turns 21! Of course we had to go to El Chihuahua.

We started getting the baby room going! Love this mini crib we found and it fits perfectly!

We loved celebrating Sarah and Nic on their big day! Dan gave the best speech. Everyone thought it was quite the hit.

Thanksgiving was with my family this year. Dan was in charge of the turkey again. He went all out this year and spent a lot of money on a nice one. Then he spatch cocked it on the Traeger. It was so yummy!

Think we had enough pies? My apple pie turned out amazing this year!

We had such an amazing fall!

21 WEEKS!

The little one is 21 weeks today. Can we even believe it? Time was going so slow at first, but now it is starting to fly by and we are getting just a little freaked out. Life is about to drastically change. Are we ready?

Here's a fun little progression. Pictures go 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks, and 20 weeks! So nuts, right? The belly sure is growing. I feel like I'm finally to the stage where I clearly look pregnant. Dan says I'm even starting to "walk pregnant".

Some more fun bump pics!

This was exactly 20 weeks. It was such a good day for me. Dan was in Bend, so I spent the day cleaning and just letting myself feel so excited. I listened to music and thought about how far we've come and what it's taken to get to this point. It was so nice to let go of all the worry and anxiety and just get excited for the baby.

Belly was really popping here!! Notice we also cleared out the guest room to have more room for baby stuff when the time comes. It's also my workout room. I've been loving it! It makes me actually want to work out now that I have a space for it and a treadmill!

We're in full nesting mode over here. If you know me, you know I like to get things done waayyyy ahead of time. So far, we've gotten a crib (we went with a mini crib) and we've bought a car seat (we went with the Nuna Pipa Lite). We actually found them both on Facebook Marketplace! I've been loving finding a good deal. Both items are in great condition. The car seat was only used for a few months, so we lucked out on that find! Besides that, I've mostly just bought little things like clothes and some Saranoni blankets that were on sale. The little bean had to have their own Saranoni of course! I'm trying to resist on buying anything else until after the baby showers. We've also spent some time at Ikea looking at shelving for the baby room. Luckily the room is already painted and good to go!

I've been feeling really good. I'm getting some energy back and I am not nauseous anymore at all! I still need a nap almost daily though. Part of that is because teaching exhausts me. I've had this weird cramp in my left side that started up around 18 weeks. It comes and goes throughout the day. The midwives think it might be something to do with my GI tract. Who knows. I do get relief when I get to the bathroom (gross, I know).

I've been feeling the baby move SO much. Every time I'm sitting or lying down, I am feeling the baby. It's been the coolest thing. I looked forward to having that feeling for so long and now it's here. It brings me so much peace. Not only that, but Dan felt the tiniest little kick or punch on the way down to Orem the other night for Daniel's birthday party. It was so cool! I can't wait for him to feel the baby move more. I feel it coming very soon.

We had our anatomy scan this week, which was so amazing. They measured all of the different parts of the baby and they said everything looks perfect. Dan had so much anxiety the whole appointment thinking they were going to spill the gender. They had us close our eyes when they looked at the genitals, so everything was fine! I wanted to peek so bad. It was hard having the answer right there, but still not being able to know. I'm glad I held strong though. I've been thinking girl all this time, but I was getting boy vibes at the ultrasound for some reason. Dan's had boy vibes this whole time, of course. I'll end this with some precious pictures of the been. Aren't the 3D ones amazing? We can't wait to meet them, whoever they are!

You're already so loved, little nugget!

Mauuuuui

We just got back from Maui on Sunday and I am totally in denial that our trip is over! It was seriously so fun and amazing. I loved being able to just relax and not worry about anything for a whole week. Traveling is so good for the soul and I always feel like it's so good for our relationship. I think the things we love the most about the islands of Hawaii are the food and the adventure that they bring. Here are some highlights from our trip.

We rested from the flight on Saturday and watched shows. Then on Sunday, we were ready for an adventure! We made our way up to Haleakala National Park. I was a little hesitant because I had heard it could be dangerous for pregnant women due to the high elevation. It goes from 0-10,000 in about a thirty-minute drive. It's crazy! After some research, I decided it would be fine to go. I'm so glad we did because it was BEAUTFIUL! Something we've never experienced before. It felt like we were on top of the world. We were literally above the clouds. We loved watching the sunset here and getting to see the stars as it got dark.

Had to get a picture from Down the Hatch. This was Dan's chicken and waffles! He thought they were pretty amazing. I got a biscuit and gravy with eggs. The biscuits and gravy were amazing!

I had several acai bowls while we were there! So yummy and fresh.

All of these pictures above are from our Road to Hana trip. This was probably one of my favorite days. I loved just driving in the car and getting to see so many beautiful sights. It took the entire day, but it was well worth it! The Road to Hana is a very slim road, which makes it so you have to drive very slow. So it takes forever, but I loved just slowing down and taking it all in. We got to swim in a waterfall, try some yummy homemade banana bread, see some amazing views, and go on some pretty walks. It is SO green the entire drive. We took the bumpy road back, which Dan loved in the jeep. We got this black and white picture just with the light of the moon. Dan was really excited about his creative skills with this photo.

The yummiest dole whip with fresh pineapple!! We got this twice.

On Tuesday, we got to see his parents renew their vows. It was fun to be part of that! We also went to a very fancy dinner after right on the water.

We absolutely loved our boat trip out to Turtle Town and Moloka'i. We got to get out and snorkel twice, which was so fun! We loved being able to see the huge turtes! I told Dan he look like Burt from the Muppets with his snorkel set on and then we took this picture and I realized I did too... HAHA!

We loved this day! We first went and explored Ioa Valley, which was so green and beautiful! Then we didn't have plans after so we stopped for some shaved ice and ate it on a beach. Then Dan found a backway home that was absolutely green and beautiful. Dan kept wanting to go off-roading, but the baby and I did not haha. We made it around the mountain on the west just in time for the sunset and to watch some surfers. What a beautiful night!

The last couple of days we relaxed on some different beaches, Dan did lots of boogie boarding, we snorkeled, and ate more yummy food! Dan's parents also took us to a luau one night. It was such yummy food and it was fun watching the show!

We had the best time here and I am already having withdrawals. Pleeeeease take us back already!!

18 Weeks: WIGGLES!

Can you even believe it? How the heck did I get to 18 weeks pregnant? As each week goes by, I am in shock that this is getting more and more real. Dan looks at me almost daily and says, "Wow, you're actually pregnant!" He's constantly surprised by my growing belly.

We've dreamt of this for so long. We're so happy and so excited. I couldn't be more grateful for my growing belly that reminds me each day that THIS IS REAL and we're almost halfway! HOW?! We're also really trying to soak up our alone time together.

I started feeling some movement a couple days ago. It feels like light bubbles in there or a super-light tapping from the inside. But it's seriously the coolest thing. Apparently, the baby is the size of cucumber this week! I'm feeling so good.

Some notable things...

I'm officially only in maternity jeans and the belly is getting BIG!

I'm starting to get the looks of, "Is she pregnant? I'm not positive." HAHA

I get full really fast, but then I'm hungry again shortly after eating.

My nausea is pretty much gone.

My energy is getting better.

I only have one speed: slow.

I love feeling how hard my belly is getting.

Starting to officially gain weight (after losing some while being sick in the first trimester).

Here is my 16-week bump pic!

Here are some more fun bump photos!

This was a little over 14 weeks!

Around 16 weeks!

This was around 15 weeks!

We love you little baby, more than you know!
